Being a blonde myself I know i'm ditsy sometimes but most girls are from time to time. Sometimes if hurts my feelings when people tell them. I do think some of them are funny some are just dumb. What's your opinion?

I'm a little bit blonde... and I really don't mind the blonde jokes. It gives me something to laugh at. Besides, if I didn't like them, I'd just change them to a brown haired or red head (which I am also part red head) or whatever. I never take any jokes personally, if I KNOW they're jokes...somethings that some people say...can get offensive. I don't mind about blonde jokes...I've heard them all at least a thousand times.

there jokes so i just laugh at them. its same with like male jokes or female jokesa. i think every1 is a bit blonde deep inside. i just laugh and agree usually with every1 at them.

Just as other jokes, it's something to laugh at and not take seriously. I don't find them offensive, I am a red head and I have my "blonde" ditzy moments, everyone has em and I don't think the jokes are meant to be taken seriously.

Some may be funny, but some are offensive. The same goes for jokes about, say, race or sexual orientation. My problem with most blonde jokes is not so much that they perpetuate a stereotype that character is somehow determined by hair color (which can be bad enough), but that they are often quite sexist.

If they are directed at me in a personal way then they are offensive.I pretend to act offended sometimes but then I just laugh.I tell some myself but I also change it to another hair color too.

A few are somewhat funny, admittedly, but blondes are not all ditzy all the time. Seems like all girls, all of us, are as ditsy as the next sometimes.

I think they're funny, but I don't necessarily think that makes them true. Besides, most "blondes" I see nowadays weren't born that way--if you know what I mean.

some are funny, alot of stupid, and they get old real fast. but they are everywhere. Now my best friend is blonde and she is the walking stereotype-very ditzy, super sweet, and pretty. But then again I know people with black(ohh or dark brown cuz black isnt a color its a shade lol) hair who are the same way. Its nothing to get offended about unless its really crude, and thats when people need to step up and say that its wrong.

they are neither true nor rude; they are jokes and mostly funny, in my opinion. im blonde and i guess i like blonde jokes. nobody takes them seriously!

I am blonde and it doesn't bother me. We should be able to laugh at ourselves.

When I think dumb blonde, I don't think "anyone with blonde hair", I think "Ditzy schoolgirl, be it blonde, brunette, redhead or whatever". So in that sense, yes they are true. If not in that sense, I would say to the contrary.

Ironically, all of my DUMB friends.. are brunettes and redheads. While all my SMART friends.. are NATURAL blondes.. with the exception of 1.

Well, here's the thing. People are dumb. People say dumb things all the time, without thinking. I have a friend who's blonde, and she says reall dumb things.
But she's also very, very smart. She's studying Chemistry at university. But sometimes she doesn't think, and says things that are dumb. That doesn't mean she's a dumb blone, though we do make fun of her, and she freely admits it.

There are dumb Irish jokes. I've got Irish background, and sometimes I say dumb things. Doesn't mean I'm dumb. You could make a dumb anything joke, because I don't think there's one person in the world who hasn't at least once made some idiotic comment.

But, like MrsFinnigan, I am more concerned that, for the most part, dumb blonde jokes are sexist. And that's just not on.

I think people can't take that jokes too seriously. The dumb blonde, the victim, isn't necessarily a regular blonde girl, she can be a dark haired or a red one, the point is joking with those dumb (blondes or not), fake and superficial girls. People catalog as dumb blondes because in times those kind of girls use to turn their hair to blonde (like Marilyn in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes) but i guess actually every girl can be a dumb blonde if she hasn't much to offer beside her fakeness. That's in the head, not in the hair.

Well, but if you blondes dislike those jokes, you can always reply like this:
Why are the blondes jokes so small? That's because dark haired girls can understand them...

I think it really depends on the joke. I have natural blond hair and some of the jokes I have heard are really offensive. Most of the ones I have heard aren't that bad. Somtimes blondes can be ditzy but so can other hair colors. The jokes have caused blondes to be sterotypicalized.
