this is quite interseting. and even more so since people actually dance st. patrick's day differently, let alone say it differently!

I haven't done it at my new school, so this is how our teacher "called" it while we were dancing:
Step: Single right, single left, single right, single left, beat right hop beat right hop back, hop left, hop right, hop left right toe down step hop right heel down, beat right hop beat right hop back, roll back left-2-3-4. (singles were also called beats...interchangeable)

Set: Hop, hop back, brush (l) 1-2, brush 1-2, step hop right and heel brush (r) 1-2, brush 1-2, step click hit your heel and hop right down heel, beat right hop beat right hop back, and hop right heel down, brush (r) 1-2, brush 1-2 step click hit your heel, and rock 2-3, single right, single left, beat right hop beat right hop back, roll back (l) 2-3-4.

(It sounds about right...haven't done it in awhile!)
(right, so for us, brushes, beats, and trebles were 3 separate things...anyone else?)
Cool idea!!

Rally one rally two rally three rally four rally, up rally hop back, cut one and cut two, hop down kick hop back, step up and heel down, rally up rally hop back, hop back two three four

Hop, hop back tip 1 2 tip 1 2, step up and heel down tip one two tip one two, hop down kick hop back, step up and heel down, rally up rally hop back, step up and heel down tip 1 2 tip 1 2 hop down kick hop back, step rock two three rally down rally down rally up rally hop back, hop back 2 3 4

Believe it or not, there's more...a set on the left foot, second lead, second set, and an ending you just do on the right foot...and I know it all. It is the most tiring thing you'll ever do. Anyone else know the 'extra steps'?

Hey Dani,
I knew it was longer, but I don't know any past the "set" as we know it - the music on my tape goes on for some time after the end of the "set" part. Hmm...It would be nifty to hear if anyone else knew it though!
