Figure Skating Alexei Yagudin is the most wonderful and artistic skaters I have ever seen WE MISS YOU ALEXEI en>fr fr>en By Jazz_rosey19 Comments: 1081, member since Mon Dec 01, 2003On Sat Dec 04, 2004 04:58 PM
Just like I wrote Alexei will be a legend I think in mens figure skating. This program I don't think now anyone could do this better this program is like sacred I think anyone trying to do it now will get a lot of comparisons to Alexei's. He has the most wonderful routines and artistry I miss seeing him compete as an amature and I know he is missed by a lot of people. I think now that Brian Joubert could quite easly become as good as Alexei his choreography and Brian's style reminds me a lot of him, and no its not because Alexei choreographs his routines for him I think he is really starting to come on the scene. And Alexei is doing so many wonderful wonderful things for him. I look forward to seeing what futre endavours lay ahead for Alexei.

I agree. Alexei is definitely one of the best men's skater ever. His routines are so wonderful...especially "winter" and "lawrence of arabia" and who could forget "man in the iron mask." IMO, I think that Brian Joubert should try to find his own style...and not try to imitate Alexei's. I know that Alexei is helping to coach him, but Brian needs a style of his own. |

I think people make way to big a deal about the who Alexei/Brian coaching thing. Its NO different then any other Coach Student relationship...I bet if you took a look at some of YOUR coaches old skating tapes, you'd see alot of the same style and tech. as your own skating has, thats whats suppose to happen, that why coaches get paid, to share their styles and stuff. If he was triaing with just anyone no one would say anything about it...To be the best in this sport means getting the best training you can, and if being coached by and olympic gold medalest is what Brian can do, he should ! |

I don't agree with dancechick, if you look at my post with the article it clearly says that Alexei isn't trying to make Brian into him he is not trying to do that at all. I just hate all of the crap people are giving Brian about the choreography I mean jeez they asked Alexei to help him in that area and then they criticize his choreography saying he has to much of an influence it's really stupid its kind of a no brainer that some of Alexei's influence would rub off of on Brian, you know what I mean?. And Alexei Yagudin is one of the most respected Figure Skaters out there right now his artistry is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I think no onne can deny that look at his Man In The Iron Mask routine OMG thats my fabe routine of his.
