Hey everyone!!!
I am going to be auditioning and I need 2 contrasting monologues from plays. One of them has to be classical and the other contemporary. I LOVE Shakespeare but I feel that it will be overused and I dont want to take any chances. So, I need help in monologues that are classical but not Shakepeare. Also, if you know of any contemporary too, let me know.
Thanks everyone!!! *_*

Is Tennessee Williams considered contemporary? I ADORE Tennessee Williams...

The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof...excellent, excellent stuff!

you could try Antigone, don't have the actual monologue right here now, but there's one my friend used for her LAMDA exam which was really good so if you're interestin i could probable get hold of it for you.

---That would be nice. Since I have the book for Antigone, you can just tell me what scene it was in and I'll find it.
Ah, so many choices. I wonder if I'm making a right decision on not doing Shakespeare?
Thanks for the help guys!
