Turnout Issue!

Hi Everyone,
so i recently got my left split!
i have my right consistently, and I am currently working on my centre.
My main problem is, in my left split my right leg is very turned out, and my jazz technique teacher is always chastising me for it. Does anyone have any tips in order to improve this?
Thankyou!

You need to make sure that each time you do a hamstring stretch you're in parallel, not laterally rotated (turned out)

We all have three hamstrings in each thigh and as dancers our medial hamstring, the one to the inside of the back of our thigh gets a lot of stretching, and the lateral hamstring will be more stretched, if we keep stretching using turnout this imbalance just gets worse.

This is why your teacher is bugging you about keeping your hips square when you do splits.
