Just got given these herbs for IBS by my acupuncturist.. He doesn't speak much English so it was a lost cause in finding out what exactly they were. I'd like to know before I start taking them :/

Thanks if anyone can help translate!

Hi,
If you can wait until Monday or Tuesday then I will try to help you. Someone in my department at work can speak, read and write Mandarin and Cantonese. I will see what I can do.

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov . . .
en.wikipedia.org . . .

Here's what I found by googling the English names. Hope it helps some. In the first, do a search for "NongSuoWan" to jump to that info specifically.

Nongsuowan actually means "concentrated pills".

The actual name is "Xiao Yao Wan"

Ingredients: Chinese thorowax root, dong kuai, white peony root, bai zhu (Latin: Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae), Poria cocos (fungus), Chinese licorice, peppermint, ginger.

Description: shiny black concentrated balls; slight odor, tastes sweet/spicy with bitter aftertaste

Intended for loss of appetite, irregular menstrual cycle, dizziness.

Purpose: regulate menstrual cycle by replenishing blood, clearing out toxins in liver/spleen

Thank you so much everyone, especially Iliah :)

And thank you for the offer lifted, but I think I've got it covered now.

This makes sense since he seemed very concerned over my irregular periods.

Help with herbal medicine is gained perfectly using help from the Chinese. These medicines don't usually have policies such as the soma return policy, and so it is often important to make use of help from the Chinese. If you have any Chinese friends, do consider their opinion.

It is great to see many companies or institutions providing special education about drugs. Such initiatives by Viagra bez recepty should be appreciated. This will motivate others as well.
