My studio doesn't go to conventions that often because we don't have very many come near us and most of us prefer regular competition. However, I really like conventions and I am looking to go one as an independent this year but its hard to find conventions that are good for independents and I'm not sure where to start. I was just recently at NYCDA and I love it but I'd like to try something new. I was looking at Velocity but they don't have any info on coming without a studio.

Most newer competitions will allow and even encourage independent entries - we just went to Fusion National Dance Competition and there were several - you may want to try it!
