Dancing again

I took ballet classes between 1999-2005 as an adult ballet beginner, a few months in 1999, a few in 2003 and a few in 2005. Started dancing again just at home using DVDs and youtube. I really missed it and a great way to get fit.

There are no classes nearby and sure I'm too old to start again anyway. It was a thrill to try the glissades and assemblies again. I had to post!!

Hi, welcome to DDN. The most common comment you will see on this thread is that you are not too old to start again. None of us are 15, or even close to it. We all had to overcome our fears regarding our age and we are all glad we did. I hope the same for you.

Glad to hear that you are having a comeback :)

And as others mentioned, don't worry about "starting too old". Half of the students at the AB class that I go to are in their 40's and 50's. And they do a marvellous job! And they all just started ballet a couple of years ago.

Anyhoo, best of luck! Hopefully you will be able to find and attend a class in due time.
