So on this Sunday my studio is having its Spring Recital (woohoo!!!) and I am having the wonderful opportunity to perform in our studios pointe group piece. It is a beautiful piece and I absolutely love it.

BUT THERE IS A CATCH

my pointe shoes are very close to death. and I'm having a lot of trouble getting onto my box and staying there during pirouettes and hops on one foot.

any tips to help get me through this? Once recital is done with I will get a new pair of pointe shoes but its not possible for me to get a new pair and all before our show.

Any help or advice is much appreciated!

You can use super glue to strengthen the shanks, I know people who have used it for their boxes too, but I always preferred Shellack. Both can be got from your regular Hardware store.

You can use Jet Glue it is made by Capezio Bunheads and is made specially for pointe shoes. But if you don't have it and don't want to go buy it just super glue or gorilla glue will work.

Hope I helped! (I am still kinda new)
