Best socks for underneath ballet shoes?

I'm a 16yo boy, been taking ballet for four years. I'm used to wearing footed tights with my ballet shoes, but I just switched to a new school with a dress code to wear white socks with white ballet shoes.

I'm just wondering, what brand/type socks are the best for underneath ballet shoes?

As of now, I wear Adidas shin length, but they're a little too thick and I need more traction; I'm wondering what the ideal sock is. Any ideas?

Hey guy I understand the problem you are having with socks. But don’t do the thick sock thing because when you perform your shoes will feel to big because you are so use to the way your "thick" socks feel. I think the best thing it so buy simple cheap white socks. We used to call them old man socks but in the end they were nylon socks that felt like tights when you wore them. If you are having trouble with traction or grip try some rosin on the bottom of your sock before you put the shoe on it always worked for me.
