I have been trying to figure out the name of the leap that Mackenzie does in the video below at 0:40? And does anyone have any tips on how to do it? thanks!

Hiya! This Is Called A "Russian Switch Leap" This Can Be Done Forwards Or Sidewards (As Mackenzie And Maddie Ziegler Do A Lot In Their Solos/Duets/Groups) To Be Able To Do This, You Must Have Your Straddle Splits, Left Leg And Right Leg Splits All The Way To The Floor. You Also Need A Good, Big Preparation Into The Jump. Make Sure Your Hips Are Fully Warmed Up, As You Can Seriously Hurt Your Hip And Possibly Badly Injure Yourself!

Hope This Helps!

I would call it a Switch-Reverse, because the body completely reversed facings in the air--if it ended in a straddle, I'd call it a Switch-Open or Switch-Straddle.
