Hi everyone! I'm auditioning for PNB in a week and I'm super nervous. I'm going to be in the 16-18 year old age group for the first time and was wondering if anyone can tell me their experience with that age group. Like what do you remember about the audition?

Hi! I love auditioning for PNB, it's definitely one of my fav audition experiences and i look forward to it the most. I was in the 16-18 category last year, having just turned 16, and I will be again this year. I auditioned at SPB in Philadelphia. When I was 15, I auditioned in DC, which was a lot more crowded and less enjoyable. I love Peter Boal's class , it's a lot of fun, I feel like all of the combinations are basically made for me. For 16-18, the entire audition is on pointe. We did a quick barre, a tendu combination, adagio, petit allegro, etc. we did have to do two fouettés (on the left) in the grande allegro combination. It's different every year, but Peter Boal is an amazing auditioner. I hope you have fun!!
