So I'm auditioning with the "Chandelier" dance from sia's video, and contemporary isn't really MY thing, but I absolutely love the dance!
Any tips on cleaning/ polishing it?
I've been dancing for three years, so I'm still kinda just dancing to the choreo, instead of really poring all of my emotion out into a dance... Any tips for that?
Any other tips for me? I've never auditioned for a solo part before...
Thanks!
BTW I know this isn't really JAZZ, but I take a Contemporary/ jazz class:)

Practice, practice, practice! Also, record yourself when practicing to see when you aren't hitting the right position/where you can improve.

Really think about every movement in the dance and why it's there. Think about what you're feeling at every step and how it changes between beats and bars. I choreographed a trio to Chandelier for a production I direct and it can be a really well done piece.
