StretchingStretch for lower back?

My lower back muscles (above the glutes) tend to get a bit tense after dancing or doing yoga and I think it's because I can never seem to target them with a stretch. I've tried various yoga poses to stretch that area but I never feel it in my low back! Anyone have good stretches for that area?

With the mermaid you can target the QL muscles more by adding a forward flexion. So the exercise would go like this. Inhale to lift the arm, exhale into your side bend keeping the arm long. Inhale to stay, exhale to rotate to face your knee scooping your abs away from your thigh but also being very careful to keep both hips on the ground. Inhale to rotate back into your side bend pretending to pour water out of your ear, exhale recover to your starting position. All the way through think about the arm and fingers trying to reach away from you and the hip bones grounded.
