Intermediate Level Adult Ballet Class -Pet Peeves

Ballet instructors are never subject to student evaluation. Complaints are not inherent to the culture, likely because one's options for this kind of class are usually limited.

As an intermediate level adult taking ballet class, what are some of your biggest pet peeves with your class or instructor?

Cutting class short for "The Show". Not everybody is in The Show and it cuts into class time...a lot! One place, I had to take back to back classes just to get 90 minutes.

Of course, staying on level. When Company members show up for Intermediate class, the class always ends up being advanced.

I hate when teachers treat adult intermediate classes like they're workouts. I've had to spend the last year or more finding somewhere that will actually teach ballet and not HIIT disguised as dance!
