About Brandon BalletBrandon Ballet is a non-profit ballet company that provides performance opportunities to professional, pre-professional, and training dancers in the Tampa Bay area. Brandon Ballet is currently in its 23rd season, and produces four major ballets per year.
Job Title: Administrative Coordinator
Job Status: Part Time
Compensation: Based on experience.
The Brandon Ballet Administrative Coordinator will learn hands-on administrative aspects of working for a non-profit professional ballet company. You will learn what happens in the daily operations of the company and be exposed to what happens when staging a professional full-length ballet, hiring new dancers, performance marketing, and much more. The Administrative Coordinator reports directly to the Artistic Director, Executive Director, and board of directors if needed.
-Proficient computer skills (typing, data entry, Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher)
-Efficient working with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
-Strong interpersonal and communications skills (on phone and in person)
-Logistical event support (coordination of resources and volunteers)
-PR writing skills (capable of drafting event materials and press releases)
-Strong organizational skills
-Bilingual (Spanish- not required, but preferred)
-Background and/or knowledge of the Arts (particularly in Ballet or Dance), not required, but preferred
-Records and maintains all incoming sponsorships and dues from dancers and other corporations/businesses.
-Acts as the main customer service representative for incoming/current dancers, parents, guest artists, sponsors and volunteers (sends weekly rehearsal schedules, e-mail updates, answers phone calls, facilitates upcoming fundraisers).
-Researches and helps develop new and innovative ideas to promote Brandon Ballet.
-Maintains and organizes all Company paperwork both on the computer and as hard copies (filing contracts, agreements, registrations, etc.).
-Prepares and itemizes all financial transactions for weekly deposit.
-Communicates with Treasurer on weekly basis regarding financial transactions and billing statements.
-Creates, publishes and distributes company materials (performance programs, company
member/guest artist contracts, audition forms, brochures).
-Creates marketing materials for select events, auditions and performances (brochures, posters,
-Creates and sends press releases, puts events on online calendars, manages social media
updates/mass e-mail distribution.
-Arranges, regulates and maintains record of all ticket sales for performances (processing credit card
transactions, refunds, etc.).
