I was wondering if anyone had any tips for getting better at bourrees en pointe. I have been dancing pointe for maybe 2 years-ish (injury caused me to be a bit behind) and I am just not the best at bourrees. I have trouble bending my knees while doing them, and I think that is partially because of hyperextension and flexible arches. Generally, I can do them, but pretty slowly. I have Russians if that helps.

Make sure to keep the steps even and tiny, and feel as if you were running. Keep the thighs crossed, as if they were tied together with a string. Let the ankles flex and straighten evenly, and imagine the sounds of the steps sounding like Woody Woodpecker. Keep the tempo of the steps even. Don't let them increase in speed when you are starting into the bourree, nor let them slow down when you finish the distance you have to cover.
