My teacher just told me I could go en pointe! But what does it feel like to go up! Also what do you put over your toes to make it less painful? I have Herd of lambswool and ouch pouches but I wanna know what you use!

Awfulawesome. That's what I tell my students. It's awfulawesome. A good fitter will have a variety of padding to try on after you've figured out which shoe fits your foot best. Try on different types until you find something that works with your shoe of choice and your foot.

You feel a lot taller when you are dancing en pointe.

I use Eurotard "Pointe Comfort" shoe pads. They are blue jelly-like pads that you can slip inside the feet of your convertible tights to help reduce shock and friction. For me, without them "en pointe" = "en pain" (Haha! Get it? En pain?)
