Question about cabrioles when not en pointe.

When doing a cabriole (NOT en pointe) where EXACTLY on my lower leg (the leg that rises second) does the heel of my upper (first leg to go up) leg connect? Every time I do a cabriole in soft shoes, I end up kicking myself in a different place each time and I need to know how to correct it.

It should technically be foot to foot in the air.

Yes, but specifically what part of what foot should come IN CONTACT with what part of what foot? Whenever I did cabrioles in pointe shoes, I just sort of did them, not really thinking about what I was doing. But now that I have to do them without pointe shoes, its like "uh....how was I doing this before?"
