New dancer in London - questions!

Hey guys,

I'm kind of new to Irish dancing - I danced as a child but never competed, and I sporadically attended classes in south east London a few years ago but they kept clashing with work so I never got very far.

I've found some new adult classes at on a Wednesday evening which I'm really excited to start going to and I have a couple of questions for my fellow adult dancers!

Firstly, is anyone doing these new grades? I'm really interested in taking them as it seems like a good way to measure your progress and have something to work towards, since competition opportunities for us over-25's aren't so common. Also, one day in the far distant future I would LOVE to take my TCRG exam, and apparently you now have to have completed all 12 grades beforehand.

Secondly, do you have any tips on keeping stamina up if you can only get to one class a week? I don't have space to practice full out so I'm trying to figure out an ID-based exercise regime to stop me from dying in class.

Is anyone else thinking of taking the TCRG one day?

Really good to meet you all!
