About Spotlight Studios
Spotlight Studios has been offering quality dance instruction in multiple styles to children aged 3 to 18 for the past 10 years in McCook, Nebraska. Our studio is nestled in the downtown district of a small-town in Southwest Nebraska with lots of opportunity. We have a thriving business district, a large amount of entertainment options and the perks of small town living while only being about 4 hours away from big-city entertainment in places like Denver, Colorado.

Spotlight Studios is a full dance studio with classes in ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, hip-hop, jazz, contemporary and more. We have been in business for 10 years and currently have a competition team and run an annual ballet production, this year it is The Nutcracker. For the past 4-5 years, we have had a teacher that teaches all the classes with some local assistants and runs both the annual ballet production and the year-end recital. She also is in control of all creative decisions and scheduling - as long as it continues to attract enough dancers to support it.

She is moving on and our goal is to replace her. We will be more than willing to change our programs a bit around the right person who wants to be in control of the studio from top to bottom although we have a very solid base to start from. Full classes, a great facility and room to grow is just a start on the freedom the right person will have to make our dance studio feel like your own.

We typically have classes Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 9pm and practices on Saturday mornings/afternoons. Our teacher/director typically has 20-25 hours of classes per week and up to 10 hours of preparation time/paperwork during the main season. During the summer, we vary programs and have simply shut down for 3 months - typically the teacher chooses the route we take depending on how much they want to make during the 'off' months. We pay a salary base with some commission options. Our studio is located in McCook, Nebraska. We have a relocation fund to help in expenses for someone to move into the area.

A qualified candidate will be energetic and motivated and able to multi-task. Previous teaching experience is required as well as ability to work towards tasks without supervision. Must be outgoing and good with children of all ages. Responsible and hard working candidates that understand customer service in relationships to parents are a plus.

Will also consider selling the entire studio to a qualified individual that would unlock higher earning potential in a turn-key business that would make you money from day one.

We are currently hiring for a full time dance instructor (and part-time) to teach various styles of dance. Dance Instructors would take on many tasks including -
- 20 to 25 hours of classes a week Monday thru Thursday
- 10 or less hours of preparation/book work/studio maintenance
- Saturday lessons for the Winter Ballet Production and Dance Competition Team
- Running Competitive Team, Choreography, Taking to Competitions
- Choreography for each class to perform at Recital
- Run a Recital
- Costume choosing and ordering
- Parent/Customer Relations including phone/email/social contacts
Dance Instructors Qualifications:
- Responsible and Hard Working
- Organized and able to work without supervision
- Energetic, Out-going and Motivated
- Good with Children of All Ages
- Previous Teaching Experience

Dance Teacher Benefits
