It doesn't exactly matter, but ya know, it does to certain people, especially since certain areas of the dance world aren't as accepted by blacks as others...so yea, I am black though. You aren't alone.

the reason why i ask cause black ppl and white ppl are taught dance in different ways i don't want ya'll to think i'm racist cause i'm not it's just that a black person who dances would understand me. a least some!

hey!!! i can relate , im afican-american also. it's nice to know that you can relate and have something in commen with.
most of you who said that you don't see color, and why should it matter -its all good that your trying to see the positives but try to understand that it's not as positive as most try to make it, otherwise there would be more black ballerinas. just a thought because it does matter.

i'm black, i live in california, and i think it's sad that we still live in a society where professional black dancers in certain dance genres... like ballet... aren't often seen and represented as much as we should be.

I'm white, not black, but I can totally see what you all mean when you say you are not as accepted in the dance world. That is TOTALLY unfair because it's racist, so I see where you are coming from. But I still love you!
