Scene 1 - herald, stepmother, sisters, Cinderella, village women
The herald announces that the prince is giving a ball in the city square, and all the village women go crazy. Among them are the stepmother and sisters and Cinderella, who is carrying all the bags they are taking home from shopping. Once home, they bully and order Cinderella about, and she does all the jobs uncomplainingly until at last they go up to bed.
Scene 2 - King, Queen, Prince
The King and Queen are arguing about the ball which she has ordered for the Prince's 21st birthday. The King asks his son the Prince whether he is happy and gets an affirmative answer, but the Prince is not looking forward much to all the would-be-Princesses who will be at the ball.
Scene 3 - Cinderella, Stepmother, sisters, godmother, fairies, fairy attendants
Cinderella sees her overdressed stepmother and stepsisters off to the ball and she daydreams in her little corner. Her Fairy Godmother and her fairies then come by and bring her everything she needs for the ball.
Act II
Cinderella, Prince, Stepmother, Sisters, Queen, King, footman, Ball Guests
Cinderella arrives at the ball at 11.30. The ball is a bit boring, the Prince is bored with a succession of girls which the footmen present to him and dance with, but everyone stops when the radiant Cinderella makes her entrance. The Prince dances with her and they instantly fall in love. Joy and Portia see them and are furious, though they do not recognize their stepsister. The Prince declares his love for Cinderella, but their tender scene is interrupted by the clock chiming midnight and with her frightened escape from the palace, she leaves her glass slipper behind.
Act III
Scene 1 - Cinderella, Stepmother, Sisters
The next morning, Cinderella is serving breakfast to her stepmother, Joy, and Portia. Having heard their reports of the ball, she pretends to imagine what it might be like going there, arriving and entering the ball and dancing with the Prince.
Scene 2 - Prince, herald, stepmother, sisters, godmother, village women
The Prince is determined to find the owner of the slipper. The Herald tries many feet in the city square and searches the houses but a match cannot be found. Cinderella is in the Palace garden and is found by the Prince, who is dejected at the lack of success in the quest and throws the slipper away. Happily the Godmother catches it and replaces it on the bench next to the Prince, just as he remembers he should try it on Cinderella.
Scene 3 - All
Of course it's a happy ever after ending and our show ends with a Cinderella and the Princes extravegant wedding.
