Poms How do you do poms moves? en>fr fr>en By adam256 Comments: 10, member since Sat May 24, 2003On Sat Sep 06, 2003 11:54 AM
I hate to sound like a total idiot, but I really don't know what the moves that poms dancers do. I know you do axles, toe-touches, double-pirouttes, switch-leaps, and kick-lines, but I don't really know what those are. I was hoping one of the poms dancers here could help me out. 1 Replies to How do you do poms moves? |

Well, are you asking what those moves are? A toe touch is when you prep with your legs, then jump into the air with both legs in a slight "v" from your body. They are a.k.a. spread eagles. The pirouttes are just spins with a fancy name. Most of the time you do more than one and you can use your right leg to give you more momentum. A swich leap is basically like a regular leap except, instead of taking the last step which is the prep for the leap, you kick that leg (the left one) up in front of you, then swing it to the back and swing your right one forward. And kickline is just a series and variety of different kicks. They also usually have ripples with your arms, and legs etc. Whatever pleases the crowd. Well, I hope that helped you! Nicole |
