Thank you sooo much for putting all of this together.It is the best site I have found so far on stretching for dancers(and I have done a lot of researching)I am starting ballet this month after a long break and will also be taking 3 pilates and 2 yoga classes a week as well to jump start my dance journey.I will definitely be using a lot.Thank you!!!!!

Thanks for emphasizing the importance of warming up, stretching, and cooling down! Far too many people miss out on the benefits of these types of exercises. I'm currently working on incorporating stretching into my everyday routine so that I can increase my flexibility and eventually do the splits someday... hopefully, we'll see!

I do competitive baton twirling, but I have to include baton tricks as part of my warm up after the normal stuff. If I didn't I would not be able to catch anything. It's kinda like a warm up 1 and warm up 2. I do cartwheels, backbends, double elbow blind (catching in a split), neck traps, one spins, two spins and three spins. Then, I can start my actual practice.
