One Voice by Billy Gilman is a good song for kids on the older side who can understand and show the meaning of the song.

I don't have any suggestions, these songs are all good ones. Thanks for this post, I agree. A lot of the songs suggested are for mature/older dancers, not younger girls/boys. I don't think Concrete Angel is a good lyrical song for a younger child but that's just my opinion. It's better for someone 12 or 13 years or older. I Turn to You is by Christina Aguilera. I heard a song at competitions that almost made me cry it's called Dear Mr. Jesus, I'm not sure who it's by, but little girls did this maybe ages 6-9. It was so cute and pretty. I hope I helped somewhat.
Love,
Brooke

My suggestions would be:
-Hands by Jewel
-Blackbird by Sarah McLachlan
-Angel Standing By-Jewel (for a duet or small group)

A great lyrical for little children around the ages of 8 and younger would be to "when somebody loves me" it is from toy story 2. Sarah Mcglachlan sings it. It is really emotional for a childrens song and would be very sweet!
