i dont really think only hope is necessarily for little kids, my dance group is doing a song to that this year, and we are all upper teens, and one is 20 years old. its a great song for any age i think
great post though!

There was this girl at my studio that did a dance to The Voice Within. I think that's so sweet and moving when a kid does it- she was about eight- because if you listen to the lyrics, it's about a little girl. Beautiful and Concrete Angel can also be really nice. But these are songs that are more sad and should be done by a talented young dancer.

Disney songs are always a great way to go. Like the carpet ride song from Aladdin, or Can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King.

I also think some of these songs are a little old for young dancers. Especially ones about abuse!

Disney songs are always great and I recently did Lulabye by Billy Joel. The parents and the dancers all loved it!

*Circle Of Life(Lion King)
*Hakuna Matata(Lion King)
*Tale As Old as Time(Beauty and the Beast)
*Part Of your World(The Little Mermaid)
*Reflection(Mulan)
*Once Upon a December
*When She Loved Me(Toy Story 2)
*You Got a Friend In Me(Toy Story)

There are a couple others, but I can't think of the names. I hope this helped!

I also LOVE the song concrete angel, but LISTEN to the words, it is about a child being ABUSED... this is probably NOT a good song for a childrens dance, while they might not understand it, their parents will!
