In My Arms by Plumb is really cute too!

I've used both the regular version and the intstrumental version in different dances.

I used "Reach" by Gloria Estefan a few years a ago for a younger lyrical class and it was a hit.

"True Colors" Cyndi Lauper is a good one as well as "Whatever You Imagine" from the Pagemaster!

I disagree strongly. At my studio we did this song two years ago with my 8-9 year old class. We had chosen we would do a community event revolving on child abuse awareness. This is a song we discussed on many levels and that they chose. The point of dancing is to tell a story. Their job was to tell the story of this little girl from a friend point of view. My daughter who was four was the angel. It was beautifull and got many compliments and special awards at competitions. I think it depends on the dancers in the group and whether they are capable of this type of story. Even my daughter at four had an understanding of the song and did a great job of being sad, crying and than being happy as the angel. This of course helps because she has a sister who is an angel. My girls even now pick very emotional songs that they dance to with much emotion and maturity. Lyrical is my students favorite style of dance.

"Fly To Your Heart" by Selena Gomez is so sweet! I saw 3 little girls do a trio to this and it was adorable! I'd save it for ages 8 and under.

I disagree, i have been doing lyrical solos ever since i was nine
and i think that when you're younger you can relate to things, relationships, drama, and they have emotion. After all they're younger, they have nohting but emotion.
All aside from that here are some good songs that i have done for lyrical groups, and solos.
Shades of life: Billy Gilman
Concrete Angel: Martina McBride
Cry little sister:Gerard McMann
This is me acoustic version: Demi Lovato
Wild Horses: Natasha Bedingfield
