Yesterday, I was able to go and see this show at the preview at Sadlers Wells, London. It runs from 11 - 18th October.

Tango Pasión has been making temperatures rise in theatres all around Europe and the USA for the last five years. Now the thirty virtuoso performers, dancers, musicians and singers of Tango Pasión return to London's West End for just one week at the Peacock Theatre.

Director Mel Howard and choreographer Hector Zaraspe have taken the soul of the Buenos Aires brothels, carried it through the dance halls of the twenties and reincarnated it in a spectacular celebration of the irresistible fascination of the tango.

The orchestrations and musical direction are by Jose Libertella and Louis Stazo and are performed by the world-famous Sexteto Mayor Orchestra, featuring works by Gardel, Piazzolla and many others.

Tango Pasión is peopled by a cast of characters from the varied and colourful history of the dance form once banned by the Pope, and brought to life in a stunning international production.

What a show!
