As of right now, I'm just queer. All people need to know is that I like girls.

Bi and Gay is just further unnecessary categorization.

All people need to know about u is that you like girls or you like guys, classifications just gives way to more prejudice.

i had a boyfriend but he put me off, and not just sexually.

its quite interesting how most are straight, considering dancing is "so gay"

Straight up straight. Oddly enough, one of the kids that hangs out with a lot of my friends came out via facebook like two days before I read this.

By the way, this thread is awesome. It might be nice to pull up some definitive proof that not all guy dancers are gay.

i'd rather die than be gay, the thought of being with a guy just creeps me out, and by the way sam_h12 dance is not so gay, there is no way that you could watch a pas de deux dance (ballet, probably the style most critisized of being gay) and then tell me that it is gay sure you may look stupid sometimes but if you go back a couple 100 years that was pretty normal

straight, and cellibate.

I do popping as in hip hop, I am not afraid to show off my skills though to both guys and ladies though, I entertain, and I dont mean in a dirty fashion. If I can entertain someone and get applause or a free drink I will go for it with my skills and crazyness.

but I do not like it when guys try to grind on me, a few have tried but that is just sick, if you want to dance with me battle me in a danceoff, and keep your hands to yourself.

Bisexual, though I don't really like to use words to label my sexuality. In part because my attraction to people is more complicated and doesn't really conveniently fit into these three boxes: homo, hetero, or bi. For some, like me, I think there's a fluidity involved. Some of us are more attracted to one than the other; some are physically interested in both but only romantically interested in one; some are attracted to all the permutations of sex and gender; etc. It's a spectrum which is part of the natural variation of a species.

Also, I find it funny that some do not understand the concept of bisexuality. People, it goes like this: hetero = "opposite"; homo = same; and bi = both. Gay and bi are not the same. Bisexual people aren't "confused" or mythical or greedy or will necessarily "realize they are really gay/straight". Some people simply like both women and men. Nor does bisexuality say anything about the kind of relationship we desire (i.e. bisexuals aren't monogomous; we want to date both men and women at the same time). That is a separate issue from one's sexual orientation as it is with hetero- or homosexual people.

No, don't delete the thread. I don't see much being rude or making a dating attempt (but I only skimmed). Delete hate speech for sure. But did I see some noticeable rudeness was straight against gay?

The thread offers interesting insights into interactions among the community. Which makes the thread very valuable.

Bravo for "I am what I am and that is me." I ought to go with that, too, but...

I am straight.

Many people go beyond their anonymous vote, and feel a need to nail their colors to the mast with a single word. Why the need to establish that identification? Would a poll simply "male or female" have so many specific follow-up posts?

Two trends I think I see in longer answers: Some "Straight" tends to be qualified with defensiveness; most "Gay" tends to be asserted with confidence.

I am agnostic, but only a God I might believe in would have to be one who deliberately created gays and bi's as an equal part of a master plan for natural diversity. And I'd vote for civil union in a heart-beat. And I feel driven to counterbalance negativity against gays in this thread (compelled right now to write instead of badly needed sleep; I hope I was awake enough to make sense and no offense.)
