More forums? You didn't think it was possible with all the ones we have now, but the new menu system makes it very simple to add third-level forums without too much clutter. They would appear, for example, when your mouse is over "Australia" in the "abroad" menu.
So what are the newest forums that you'd want to see? I'm especially interested in what the our international friends think since there is only one forum per contintent at the moment...
For example, Australians and Canadians might want more location-specific forums like provinces or cities. Also, we may be able to add US state or city-specific forums. Three that might make sense to me are: LA, New York, and San Francisco.
Is there enough interest? Also, to make these pages a good resource, I'd like to let participants add links to local studios and nightclubs, etc. A "where to dance" when you're in our neighborhood kind of thing. These would appear on the side-bars for convenience.
So here's your chance to make dance.net even more useful to you and your friends. Tell me what you want!

Honestly I don't think there's enough traffic for that.
There are so many boards to read through as it is.
I don't want to have to go to a hundred different boards everytime I visit to see if there is anything interesting or pertinant to me.
The Canada one is fine to me right now.
Maybe some of the US states need more.

I can definitely see in the foreign area: England, France and Israel, all three very hot dance sites...lots of activity in all forms of dance, inernatl. festivals, touring co."s, major schools, etc.
As I notified you, I really find listing modern as a subtopic under jazz as pretty offensive to a major dance force. Let's face it, if you want to compete in today's dance world, you've got to have soild ballet and modern training and jazz is a fun option. I performed in musical comedies and never had a jazz class in my life!
I also like the idea of a forum where topics that aren't totally dance related can be addressed...even world events that concern us all as human beings.

Edited by Odessa (22571) on 2002-03-07 19:06:36 I need to add an "and" to the last sentence. It didn't make sense.
I say, yes, definitely continue down the path of creating third-level forums. Being in Melbourne, Australia, I would love to connect with other dancers in my area. That's a great idea, and I would really love to see that happen. The "where in Australia do you live" questions are just too vague and open to ambiguity.
Thanks for that.
