Thanx for all the advice on how to audition. I am an actress as well as a dancer so that helped me on two levels.

remember the sugars that provide energy in carbohydrates dont release into the body untill 1 or 2 days after eating a meal.
if i have a big dance competision coming up i eat things like pasta or potatoes the day before.

I completely agree with that advice. I've been dancing for four years, two en pointe, and I've only ever been to one summer intensive audition. I auditioned for Joffrey San Antonio (I was number 1!) and I made it. I'm certain I made it because i was smiling, asking (and answering!) questions, and making it look like i was having the time of my life. I'm auditioning for ABT in a few weeks, and I'll definitely use this advice!

Thanks! thatt was a most excellent post! It was really well researched and thought about, it will help lots and lots of dancers out there. i myself am always scared that I missed something or that something will go wrong, so this was really helpful.
