The job forums are back and better than before! Now, jobs and auditions display more information including the company/organization, location (international positions included). The best feature is yet to come: searchable job listings and notices sent to you via our newsletter. And soon, you'll be able to list yourself in our new talent directory that is searchable and displayed at other upcoming affiliated sites!

The new categories are:
Dancers Wanted
Choreographers Wanted
Teachers Wanted
Bands Forming
Bands Wanted
Models Wanted
Singers Wanted (thanks Tim)
More categories will be added as needed. Since this job database is mirrored at affiliated sites, your listing will get widespread notice. Feel free to post your suggestions.
Since these are stored in our database, you'll soon be able to search for jobs in your state or country. In the coming days, we'll finally start sending out the dance.net newsletters and will include jobs in your area.
Coming soon is a talent directory which will make it much easier for dance agencies and talent scouts to find the best talent for new projects! It will be listed here as well as affiliated sites. More info on this later.
I'm excited about bringing a truly useful and free service to dance.net and our loyal members. Your feedback is welcome as always!
Linh
P.S. Since the other affiliates are not ready yet, I'll postpone listing them till later. 3 Replies to New Feature: Jobs, Auditions, and Band Listings! Soon, The Talent Directory.. |

That looks really good. I notice the first link has the last T in Talent missing. But other than that Singers wanted? Thanks Tim |

I agree that there are some things that are seriously straying away from dancing, like singing, modeling, even kind of the bands, but it's up to what people want I guess. This is such a neat idea, thank you for your hard work!

(reposted from tell dance.net)
Now, you can enter the complete street address of your Wanted or Classified Ad, and dance.net will help generate a map (through the help of Mapquest). You'll now see a button labeled "view map" on the ads. When clicked, it will bring up a map in a new window.
This is very useful for members to see where a public workshop, audition, competition, performance, etc. is held, so please use it.
You should never put your home address in these ads (for example in the Partners and Bands Forming ads). This is to ensure your privacy and safety. In these cases, posting a city and state is sufficient to let people know if they're close enough to consider your personal ad. If your band is auditioning in a public venue, then you can provide the street address as well.
Those that have entered a listing prior to this change can go back and add the street address if they desire. In fact, any ad can now be edited for a much longer period than a regular forum posting.
