Yeah I've been on an All Star Squad for a year now (we're going to nationals yay!!!! ) and what you say is just basic stuff but it really does help. Although cheer really does involve a lot of tumbling (at least in all star) so you really need to try and learn how to do a back handspring. I was amazed at how easy it was to learn one. It took me 5 months. Also, if your school has a weight room you can use it wouldn't hurt to use it and build up your leg and arm muscles for stunting and jumps. Cheer takes a lot more work than most people think, but it's tons and tons of fun!!!!

wow, that was really good. i love to watch cheerleading and would love to do it cause i just quit gymnastics and want to do something with all my skills, but i dont think that there is anything in New Zealand, does anything know??? it would help if you did.
