My favorite book of ALL TIME is "The Outsiders". There are so many lessons you learn from it. I cry every time I read it. It is just amazing.

Noughts and Crosses, Knife Edge and Checkmate by Malorie Blackman are my top three...
Feeling Sorry for Celia, Finding Cassie Crazy and Becoming Bindy Makenzie by Jaclyn Moriarty are next, although the last one did have an *unusual* plot.
Catalyst by Laurie Halse Anderson is great, and I've ordered the other two written by her from the library.
Ruby Holler, Walk two moons and Absolutely Normal Chaos by Sharon Creech are very good, and I'm hoping to read Bloomability soon.
Sleepwalking by Nicola Morgan is one of my all-time favourites, and The Passion Flower Massacre is next on my list to read. Most of the time I hate sci-fi/fantasy but I love books about dystopic socitites.

I'm adding Fleshmarket, also by Nicola Morgan (it didn't click it was by the same author until this morning) and The Passion Flower Massacre now that I've read it.
Burning Your Boats, a collection of Angela Carter's short stories is fantastic, but my favourites in there are definately from The Bloody Chamber.
Finally, The Devil's Arithmatic by Jane Yolen, was my favourite book about two years ago.
