Hello,
I like the hornpipe and village maid for the hornpipe, though I voted for the village maid, I like to see all the different steps that people do!! And the village maid is just so graceful when it's done properly. But I would much rather dance than watch!

I love watching the laddie. The ontrasha (I know I didn't spell that right) and the turn at the end are the best part- and I love how the dance ends at the point. How cool is that?

I like the jig because I like to watch the different arm positions and ways of using your upper body!

I like watching the hornpipe, especially at competitions to see the different styles people use to execute the same movement.

I actually find the barracks really graceful but still strong... Especially when people have really long extensions in the balances.

Village Maid is lovely to watch, it's so graceful and when the dancer has good feet, it's an absolute pleasure!

I love to watch all the actions of the jig but I have to say that the Blue Bonnets is very graceful and when danced by a premier dancer it is beautiful to watch!

I prefer dancing the other national dances rather than flora, lilt, jig and hornpipe all the time at the competitions. The only competitions that I know do the Earol of Earol are Shirley Macleshes and Marion Boaths(don't know if I have spelt these right but sorry if I haven't)

It's a toss up between the jig and the hornpipe - I'm going to go with the hornpipe, I love it!

The Jig is my favorite to watch because of the variety in the arm movements. But I also love watching the Blue Bonnets. It has a special place in my heart as I love the dance and I had the piper at my wedding play that as I walked down the aisle:)

I love to watch the Earl of Errol especially with the leaps in it! The hornpipe and jig come close when the dancer has great expression in it, but I just love the Earl of Earl. It also seems the most graceful to me, more then the village maid... I don't know why... I just love watching that dance.

I voted for the hornpipe, too, because it's the one dance I know I'll never be able to do well. Learning at the age of 40-something, I'm not sure I'd be able to get my body to do some of those steps. I'm always worried I'm going to break my ankle doing the shake and rock step, but many of the other steps look even harder.

I like watching the Sailor's Hornpipe... it is so fun to see all the cool steps especially with the little ones who flew through beginner and novice like none of yur business... I mean, they're just so cute!
