Soul Seek is a program that allows you to chat with others and share files with each other as well. Think of it as a chatroom with as many downloads as people have.

I figure this link might help someone out. Two of these clips have people demonstrating the tutting style. Another is a cute little clip of a CG fox popping. And finally, you have a little documentary that interviews a few dancers. Enjoy.

Wow. I think I was born to pop. I mean it. I never knew what it was called but I always do certain moves like that while dancing hip hop. I know I've seen it before I just never knew the name. I hope to keep practicing and learning the acctual moves. Thanks for the info!!

Bopping - It's a mixture of robotting ('botting for short) and popping. Thus, Botting + Popping = Bopping

Scarecrow - This would be the style in which you move and dance in the general form of ... you guessed it, a scarecrow. It's sort of hard to describe other than... a scarecrow doing funk styles, *heh heh*...

Filmore - There's a lot of controversy on this. While some say that this is a style on its own, others say that this is a step to strutting.

I know that these are very brief and broad (and foggy) descriptions, but that's all about I can explain for these styles. I believe you can get more indepth information at:

In the ravemedia.net (which my friend Vu runs) videos, I taught Kim and Paul. Kim quit a long time ago, but Paul is a lot better than I am now.

I also filmed the "Why we dance" documentary. Paul is in there briefly.

For Jahz:

In the "Fresno", you pop BOTH arms and one leg (back). You can also pop everything. AND there is a specific foot movement back and forth which I could probably describe to you one the phone if you want - I have taught it many many times to dancers and non-dancers alike. The 'classic', as I call it, manner would be right, left, right, right and then to the other side - but you can vary it. Looks great in unison. When I say both arms pop, one goes forward (classically), or it can go up, down to a side etc, while the other one pops back (classically). i.e., you can vary the arms. I learned this from all of the EB's except for Sam, with whom I have never studied. Good luck and keep up the good work.
PS - My understanding is that hitting and popping are two different things, but I think we've been over this before...
