Yoga.
I've seen so many yoga pix of people who can do amazingly flexible stuff.

That is a very, very, very sick picture. No one should be allowed to get that flexible.

it's not double jointedness. it's called missing ribs. that actually helps with flexibility, but at the same time it's very protective to your organs, since that's the purpose of your ribs. (i'm not talking about organ injury in contortion. i'm talking about something like an accident.)

it doesnt hurt at all.. i'm not naturally flexible in my back so i had to work very hard to achieve it. at times it was uncomfortable, but once i was able to sit in a split and bend back to hold my back leg, it didnt hurt at all. i felt nothing, but not numb either. lol no discomfort! if you work on it everyday for a few hours a day, it will eventually come. but it comes much slower for those who do not have that natural flexibility.

Someone in the earlier comments said something about Ulzibaayar Chimed being that flexible, but I beg to differ. Whenever Ulzi does something bendy in her back, there is always a space in the middle, like a doughnut hole. This girl has no space there!
Amazing. The best I've ever seen.

jazz lover-
My mother knew a girl who was missing 2 pairs of ribs. I guess it depends on how many you're missing. If it's only a pair, it may not be enough to create such flexibility. Because she was missing in total 4 ribs, she could bend completely in half.
Also a girl on our rhythmic team, she is only 6 years old, and can already bend backwards so that her head goes between her legs. Back flexibility varies from person to person. I'm not sure exactly how or why she can bend so far.

I don't think it's gross or wrong at all. It's just the way she is.
