I would like to ask if you all would please start locking threads if they are no longer relavent, eg. if you had an assignment and you asked for help and you already completed it, we may be wasting our time...Imaging if you read a post about someone who wanted help with say...a history project and you went and found really good information. Then you posted it and he/she replied saying the project was handed it a long time ago...you would't feel to good.

So, if you are finished, either lock the thread or post saying that you have completed, but posters can put any information they have for the benefit of someone else with a similar project. Sorry this is so long, and thanks for reading!

Good point. It's no help if we give advice on a project that was turned in a month ago.

How do you lock a thread? That is a good point.

Hit the "edit" button and the second option on the page is locking. Only the author of the post or a mod can lock a thread.

Awesome point, I asked a Mod to make this a "sticky."

Actually, if the information can help someone else along the way, I would prefer it was not locked!

That is very good. Not just on the homework thread, but all over. Some threads are so silly and misleading, yet people continue to open them thinking it's something it's not. Maybe someone will invent a thread called "How to Lock a Thread". I'm not going to- because I'm afraid it might already exist - and I can't stand rejection.. :)
