Hi All.
Great thread Diva!
So I began dancing at the age of 7 (a little late, IMO) but I was old enough to want to stick to it.
I danced Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Dropping the ballet after 5 years, dropping the tap after 7 years and continuing on with Jazz baby!

I went to college at 16 for business because I was working full time and living on my own so I tried to take courses that would propel me further in my job. (aka-corporate hell!) So dance was taking a back burner.
I married and had kids while still in college.
I wanted to be back in dance, and went back into regular classes in the evening when I was 19 and have continued to do it. I've never wanted to dance professionally, I really just wanted to teach.
Lately I have also been studying other areas of dance as well- trying new things.
This is my first year teaching. Kind of a flub really. Was asked by a friend to teach after doing some semi private lessons. I can only say, it feels so good to do what I've always loved doing as my job, rather than slaving away in an office like I did for so long.
Its been a great interesting road for sure.
All the best,
B.
