senior lady has been nice enough to choreograph a dance for us!!
yay
so it will be in parts
here is what she has sent me so far:
2-hand Reel
D1(everdancing) D2(dancerat)
Introduction: Begin facing the front with your inside hand holding your partner’s inside hand at shoulder-height. There is a 16-count introduction where you stand at rest (feet crossed on a flat foot) for a count of seven and then point on eight. Bow (1 2 3 4 5 6) rise and hold (7 8).
Leadround: Dance eight over23s in a circle clockwise
Side Step: Dance two hop 123s forward then dance sevens to the right. Dance one hop 123 turning to face your partner and joining your other hand so that you’re now holding both hands. Dance another hop 123 releasing the first hand and turning to face in the opposite direction (back). Repeat sequence to the left, but instead of turning to face the front on the last 123, release both hands and link right arms.
Pivot Turns: Turn to the right for 8 while dance 123s then reverse directions by linking left arms and turning to the left for 8. End facing the front - no hand hold
Box Sevens: D1 travels left while dancing sevens ending in two 123s. D2 travels right while dancing the same. D1 should do the last 123 with a quarter turn to the right and D2 with a quarter turn to the left. Repeat until you're back side by side (facing back) and end with two 123s (no turn). Join inside hands and dance four 123s forward then release hands and turn turn so you're facing front. 2 Replies to Plie 1 Irish continued |
