Ok here's the thing. I was informed that this year we will not be having a Christmas recital however, for the parents to know what is going on during class and see the progress of their child we will be having a christmas party for the parents to come and watch their child. This will basically be a class like any other except we will be doing it to Christmas music. So what I am trying to get at is: I would like to come up with a quick basic routine for my preschoolers to Christmas music show they can do something special for mom and dad. And I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas. I would appreciate anything you would suggest please.
Thank you for your time and help!

How about Suzy Snowflake by Rosemary Clooney or also on the Barney Christmas cd. It's really cute and easy for them to tap to. Also, in case you might have children in the class who don't celebrate Christmas, this is a song for everyone.

This sounds similar to what i do in my creative movement classes for the month of december - we prepare all month and then put a show on for the parents the last class. I usually use songs they know like frosty, rudolph, jingle bells, etc. so they sing it once with hand motions and little steps, and then i repeat the song and they do a little dance routine. they really have a lot of fun with it. my personal favorite song to use is "all i want for christmas is my 2 front teeth".

Since its a little short notice for the kids, pick a song that they know and use movements that they can remember easily with the music. That sounds like a fun idea! Hope this helps!
