Hey Fellow Dancers
I have a classe I would love to hear some ideas for.
It's class is creative movement/ballet for 2-4 year olds. I would like ideas on games, positions, warm up and technique or anything else (lol) to teach them if you can. They do basic plies, tendues, rises, and "ballerina spins". Your ideas are really appreciated.

Well when they are that young you can do echappe's positions to 3rd i suggust you wait to teach them 4th and 5th. Also bouree turns. plie's pase.

I am looking for new ideas as well but I have found that using a parachute is awesome. They love it! We do slow wave, fast wave, squat down and stand up and walk in circles with it. I tell them about good arm movement. It also teaches them the difference between there right hand and left hand. A friend also told me to get some maracas and play follow the leader. Have not tried that yet but she said she has great success with that. Hope this helps!

One more thing...When I teach arms I have a little saying and it goes through all the positions of the arms for ballet. The babies love it and ask to do it every week.

I had a ball- 1st position arms
And I lost it- 2nd position arms
I looked high - 3rd position arms
I looked low - 4th position arms
And I found it- 5th position arms

They love it!
