Many people have trouble with this, and so I thought I might help a few people out.

Dance.net will only let you upload pictures which are of Jpeg or GIF types. Many times when you scan something, or get something off a website it will be a Bitmap or some other form of picture file.

So, the way to change it goes as follows:

Step 1

Go to the program you use to edit pictures, whether it be a simple MS Paint program, or some spangly hi-tech photo editing software.

Go into File, then click on "Save As"

You should get a box that looks like the following:



Step 2

Where it says "Save File type as:", clikc on the little arrow in the grey box next to the text. You should get a list that should have some differant file types in it (These can vary. In Paint, there are only 1-3 options, in other photoshop programs, there can be about 20-30)



Step 3

When you scroll, look for the one called Jpg, or Jpeg.
Click on that the select it.



Click save, and wolah! Your picture is now ready to be posted on dance.net for us all to be in Awe of
