Here are some the songs that just popped into my mind.
Singing in the rain
It's raining, It's pouring
Let It Snow
Mr. Sun
Winter Wonderland
Yellow Polka Dot Bikni
The Itsy Bitsy Spider (Representing Summer and Picnics)
That's all I have for now. If I can think of any others. I will type them down.

missdancediva made some good suggestions for your little ones. Here are a few more:
Spring: Bunny Rabbit Blues or Baby Chicks (kimboed.com) to represent Easter; Songs about flowers or gardens... e.g, Tiptoe Through The Tulips; Eidelweiss from The Sound Of Music
Fall: School theme..A You're Adorable, Rhythm In My Nursery Rhymes, An Apple For The Teacher. Maybe something related to Halloween, like Monster Mash, Ghostbusters. Perhaps even a little cheerleader/popmpom routine for fall football games.
Winter: Snow songs. There is one that several teachers have used and liked called Little Suzy Snowflake (I haven't used it), but I think Rosemary Clooney does a version of it. Check it out on amazon.com And of course Christmas songs offer a lot of choices. Valentime's Day (Febraury): songs with the word Love or Heart in the title or lyrics.
Summer: California Girls or SplishSplash for a beach theme; Teddy Bear's Picnic for outdoor activities.
It's late and the creative juices aren't flowing too well right now, but I'll try to list more for you as I think of them. |

The Beach Boys have a really cute version of Frosty The Snowman that would be good for Winter. I had a group of young ones do this and they used brooms for a prop. It was real cute and they already knew the words to the song !!
There is also another one called Down The Holiday Trail by Teresa Brewer (i think).
I also used the An Apple for The Teacher song for the school (Fall) season. It was so cute as they used flat wooden apples for a hand prop. I still have these if you are maybe interested in them. You can check the for sale thread .I have them listed under Handheld props for sale. Another cute song for Fall is Dem Dry Bones (halloween) or Rocky Bones.
Spring you could use Lets Go Fly A Kite.... and for Summer there is Here Comes Summer by Jerry Keller or Sunshine Lollipops and Rainbows by Lesley Gore or Summertime Summertime by Sam Cooke. Have fun ...it sounds like a fun theme !! |

My Studio did a seasons theme about 2 years ago. We called it "A Friend For All Seasons" Some songs we used were... (and I apologise if some are repeats):
On The Sunny Side of the Street
You've got a Friend (James Taylor - Winter Spring Summer or Fall...)
Calendar Girl
Seasons of Love
Snowbird -this was really cute baby ballet
Rainy Day Love
Lightning Crashes
Let It Snow
Teddy Bear Picnic
Autumn Goodbye (Brittney Spears)
Walkin on Sunshine
Heatwave
That's all I can think of for now, I hope I helped. Let us know what you picked! ~Domi |
