Try reading Dancer by Colum McCann. It's about Nureyev. A slight warning about it because it's adult...lots of language and some descriptive passages, but if your old enough and like dance, give it a try. I'm reading it now and I love it. :)

The Kings are Already Here is by Garrett Freymann-Weyr, and Best Little Girl in the World is by Steven Levenkron. Both are extremely good books; however, Best Little Girl may be triggering for eating disorders as that is the primary subject of the book.

the book "dancing on my grave" is such a good book. It really lets you get to know Gelsey Kirkland. That girl had one heck of a run.

I love dance books! I just got Agrippina Vaganova's technical manual in the mail today :D

bookfinder.com is the best thing ever! It sniffs out the cheapest books on the web and guess what? Amazon is rarely the cheapest!

Which of these books would you all recommend to an older reader? I'm 22, and although things like Angelina Ballerina are incredibly sweet, I've sort of outgrown them...

I would like to strongly recommend Isadora Duncan's Biography. It's a really inspiring read and it gives you a lot of food for thought. It gives you a very good idea about the climate of dance in the early twentieth century and why so many dancers were adverse to ballet.

Noel Streatfield also writes alot of books, i read them when i was about 8-9, but i was quite a good reader, they're probably suitable for 9-10 year olds.
