Like the other photo and arts-forums, we've disallowed karma for photos on this board too. We're working on a better reward-system for posts like this. In the meantime, please refrain from giving karma to photos etc. If you want more information, there should be a thread about it in tell dance.net.

i dont know if im being really dumb by asking this, but what is karma???? ah, i feel so stupid asking this!! lol

Karma is the points you get when someone rates the post +. That means that they found the post humerous, helpful, insightful, informative or thoughtful. If you look down in the corner of each post or reply, you will see a button where you can rate a comment positive. Because these ratings are for comments only, using them to rate pictures would be against the rules here though.

However, you can rate a post that has a picture in it, as long as the post itself deserves rating, and not only the photo.

It's posted on both ballet photo's and also in one of the disco-photos and probably more. The reason it was posted here now is because karma was recently given for pictures here, so we realized there was a need to inform about the rule on this specific board. Karma for pictures is not allowed on any board, but it's not stickied on all boards when we haven't had a problem with it happening there.

Ha, so I just gave karma for a pic, but it was because it had great info inside the post! What then? I think it deserves recognition.
