This sounds like a great idea, I have just started to try and make a few items to try and keep costs down. Also maybe people could swap sewing tips. I have loked at the fabric on ebay and it is quite limited,

Thanx
good idea

Excellent idea this. My mum makes the outfits for my little girl my niece and my son and she also does the team outfits for our school. This is excellent to have on here. Maybe there should be an area maybe like the costumes for sale but odds n sods swap or sell. The beginner costumes bit is more empty than the others maybe it could go on there. What do you think ppl? Moderators is that allowed?

Ebay is good if you want to sell or buy stuff but my point in creating this post was for people to swap things or give bits away that would only be of use to other dance mums. I don't think anyone on ebay would be in the slightest bit interested in my odds and sods of fabric etc!!

Hi everyone,

Need your help-again! :]

I've been asked to repair a slow dance cossie and need a small
piece of white lace-Chrisanne's Georgina.

Is soo expensive per metre and don't think they sell less than half a metre. Happy to buy if anyone can help please PM me.

Thanks
Holly ;)

Hi,
Do you think it would be possible to make this an official part of the site? Like it could be a tab up beside cozzies for sale and it could be called 'bits and bobs' or something and that way people could list the bits they have and need! It would be easier than going through the sticky and it would grab the attention of those who dont look at the boards but still need bits. We could ask the mods of the site to set it up.
What do you guys think?

What a good idea! I often think that I should try my hand at making bands ect but don't want to buy lengths of unneeded material. JOx

What a great idea I used to make a lot of costumes and I would always have material or bits of fringing left as I never knew how much to buy in the first place

Hi

Think this is a great idea, and if any one has any odd bit they wouldn't mind sending my way I would be so grateful. I am just starting to make my daughters cozzies ... made one so far.

As of yet I haven't got to the stage where I have odd pieces over (used most of it practicing LOL) but in time will be able to pass on to someone else.

PM me please with any offers of odd bits. We can come to some agreement on bits I am sure.
