Hey, I absolutly love competetions! The adrenaline rush is amazing, and the feeling you get when you know you nailed your routine. I was just curious about how everybody else feels about comps! Oh, and mentally how does your team prepare to get hyped up? just curious.

SOmetimes I can get really nervous and it starts to be a pain, but then when it comes to when it is all over i feel like i just want to do it ALLL over again.I definately love competetions but i can't do to many at a time.

I love comp. season! We bond alot on our out of town trips cuz we get hotel rooms and what not. I would say our team is really humbled, so when we win stuff we allways jump up and down and scream. We have so many traditions.

To get prepared to go perform we of course run the dance one last time in the practice area, and then usually if we have time we yell our chant on the way to the competition gym. it goes:

I-L-L-U-S-I-O-N-S! We're Illusions Woot(clap) Woot(clap)! Illusions Woot(clap) Woot(clap)!
Repeat 3 times. Gradually get louder and louder.

Once we get to the gym and we are waiting to go on we turn away from any people that are around us so we can concentrate and go over the dance in our heads and "get in the zone" before going on.

I agree, I love the rush you get and for me I love the time when I am waiting for results to be posted and I am completely finished, and i also like seeing people not from my tram twirl and watch their awesome tricks!
