Hey Everyone!!
First off, I want to know if anyone is having a more relaxing holiday weekend then mine. lol. I was supposed to have a 4-day weekend... Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,... BUT... we got a SNOW DAY on Thursday... so it ended up being a 5-day weekend!! WOO HOO! I got so much homework done... and I have free time for once!! Sorry... I just had to tell you all that.
Anyways, just in case you didn't know, I posted a poll up about performances... please vote... I'm leaving it up for a good 2 weeks... plenty of time to vote, eh?
Last weeks meeting we talked about performances... if you missed it... please click here> dance.net . . .
So, this week we'll probably... hmmm... *think think*... ahhhhh... here's a nice question...
What are your dance songs this year? Do you like them? Are they hard?
Mine are:
"Choo Choo To Boogie" by ?
"Ease on Down" by Micheal Jackson
"Chinese Dance (Tea)" by Tchaikovsky
"Back To The USSR" by The Beatles
I love all of my songs!! They are JUST right... and I just love em'!

Hmm...
Well, my studio doesn't do recitals (there's A Midsummer Night's Dream but I'm not in it this year)
buuut, at my other studio, we do different dances each term (its through an actual academic school, so that's why its done by terms)
We did a song from a variation of swan lake (forget which one) and then it went into Dancing Queen by Abba. I loved it, I thought it was a blast.

my recital saong for ballet is some weird track that i don't know the name of. Its seven odd minutes long though and its mostly contemporary.
my song for disco/jazz is 'car wash'. we are doing both styles to the one song. i don't think we're doing a song for modern but we might we need to see. We are doing a strange cheer mix in cheerleading and also 'boogie wonderland' by earth some thing.
lots of love mazie |
